Worldwide Development Corporation - Losing ground every year

Every year we are losing ground to "powering the planet"

This year we will use approximately 21,000 GW of electricity worldwide.  The electricity demand is projected to grow by 500 GW each year over the next 20 years until it reaches 30,000 GW of electricity in the year 2035.  Approximately 65% of the electricity is produced from carbon resources which is a limited resource around the world today.  This does not take into consideration energy requirements for transportation vehicles which is comprised of 98% oil. 

China is building two coal burning electricity producing facilities a week to keep up with their demands.  India and various other countries are also building an enormous amount of coal burning electricity facilities for electricity. 

Worldwide oil demand is expected to grow from 90 million barrels a day to 105 million barrels a day over that same time frame.  A barrel of oil is 42 gallons.  China alone is adding 15,000 autos to their roads 365 days a year.  India is also projected to add an additional 14,000 autos to their roads 365 days a year.

Besides using up all the remaining limited resources (oil, natural gas, and coal) on the planet at a alarming rate, what are we doing in response to the future energy demands of the planet:

1. United States the largest energy consumption nation in the world recently announced it wants to double its wind electricity energy capacity from 60 GW to 120 GW by the year 2030.  That's adding about three GW of alternative electricity capacity each year. We all know wind energy capacity overestimates the real energy produced by 70 to 90%.

2. Solar energy if lucky will create an additional 2 GW of electricity per year in the U.S. over the next 20 years.

3. Drill baby drill - create an unbelievable amount of eco damage in the U.S. and around the world

4. Build a new nuclear facility - at the same time we should be shutting down a dozen Nuclear sites for safety purposes.

5.  The rest of the world is doing things very similar to the U.S.

My prediction is oil demand will outpace oil supply over the next 20 years and the world will begin to allocate supply in order to preserve it for military & government's.

  

Someone needs to explain to me how we reconcile the demand predictions with the ability to produce energy throughout the world.

If we continue down our current path we are setting ourselves up for a worldwide apocalypse.
